Who gives a fuck about NPC powerlevels? Every single character exists to get mogged by (You), the player, and the most powerful protagonist is the PLA Protagonist because Legend Plate Arceus is objectively the most disgustingly broken Pokemon in terms of battle capabilities.

In Masters Cynthia and Red are above everyone.
Leon needed to get arceus suit buff just to barely beat Red (who doesnt have one yet)
Volo needed to steal Giratina AND it needed to go Origin Mode (like in PLA) just to finally overpower Arc Garchomp, who also took a hit for its trainer

Masters is an offical game, supervised/approved by TPC, so yeah
More importantly - its the only pokemon game where trainers from ALL gens (especially 1-8) interact/fight etc.
In mainline they dont exist anymore

Just because it's an official game doesn't mean it's canon to mainline Pokemon. Are the events of the Mystery Dungeon games canonical to mainline Pokemon? Of fucking course not, because they contain Pokemon who are explicitly evil, when the franchise insists up and down that evil Pokemon don't exist, only evil humans, and any Pokemon who does wrong only does so because of human influence or survival instinct.

...Which means they're non-canon to mainline Pokemon, which is prime canon, the only canon GameFreak cares about adhering to, and is the point I'm getting at. Any feats achieved in spinoffs like Masters are pure fanfiction because they will NEVER be made relevant in the mainline titles.
