So will any of the new megas have a different type from their base form or what? The lack of abilities already made them boring enough...

Feraligatr becomes Water/Dragon
Barbacle becomes Rock/Fighting
Clefable becomes Fairy/Flying

Wow gave Meganium and Feraligatr cracked secondary typings and left Emboar as a Fire/fighting.
Guess that explains Emboar getting the best Mega design.
Maybe a hypothetical Mega Typhlosion would be Fire/Steel to match the other two.

Emboar probably didn't get a type change because it's the only one of the trio that isn't a monotype.

I mean for sure but its a shame really. Mega Emboar remaining a Fire/Fighting means Blaziken is for sure the better one still. This was the chance to give Emboar an identity.
