Doubt it. Champions looks like more of a way to not have to reprogram all 1000+ pokemon into a new game every 2 gens, since it’s only going to get worse from here and people will complain if they aren’t able to use their favorites several games in a row.

what if Megas got a pseudo-Z-move mechanic where signature moves could be upgraded by mega evolving
like when you mega evolve Malamar, if it knows Topsy Turvy the move changes into Mega Topsy Turvy, which keeps the same effect but also inflicts confusion
