>>58246652 basically said what i needed to say, even if dev for the DLC started before the game went gold i doubt it's something essential to the main plot of the game, i'm sure it's more like an extra episode that MIGHT have loose connections to the overarching plot
(which would speak more to good planning than cut content), like the SV DLC. to me this type of thing reads as the company planning ahead to provide something extra for people who want more when they're done with the game; and i like that model a lot more than the alternative: doing the same thing but you have to pay more and do everything you already did again.
don't get it twisted though, it's still corporate greed which is still lame, but it's a better experience for the consumer this way.
