The problem is that it's limited time events. Limited timed events are shit. They suck balls. Prevents people from getting stuff. If it's locked behind a certain rank or win streak, then it's likely a lot of people won't be able to get it due to poor internet or getting unlucky with matchups.

Yes you can, the only mega stones that couldn't be traded were ones that didn't exist in XY from ORAS.
You could even trade Latiosite/Latiasite back to those games because they were in XY's code.

I like that they make certain mons actually rare, so that it actually feels special that you have it/ use it, and not just cliche. There’s a few mons like this that I wish I had, and can’t get, and I accept that since I wasn’t plugged into the games at all when they came out. To get people to go outside and socialize. Ever since we got the internet, people have been going out and playing games together less frequently. The game isn't about socializing anymore.
