That's what happened with the old megas as well. Some are pretty good, which makes using the other ones irrelevant just because of the gimmick itself. And the same old megas, which are going to be reintroduced in Champions, will have a lot of trouble with the new stuff like the paradox mons or newest legendaries for example, because these aren't limited by a gimmick.
