Does anyone else think more pokémon should get alternate X/Y mega evolutions?

Pic related. Mega Lopunny could be the Y to a hypothetical X that just gives neck fluff to the original design (because their crest looks like a Y chromosome).

isn't the Y chromosome named that because it only has 3, uh.. branches? it's been like 13 years since i've had a biology class i've gotta be honest i might have just misremembered what it looks like because of what it's called.

first of all, because it was a /vp/ post it wasn't all that serious to me, but see the funny thing is after my second reply i actually did exactly that and every result either looked nothing like a letter at all, or did in fact look like the letter Y. i'm assuming as a baseline you're better aware of this subject than me at this point, what i wanna know is why you're being so adversarial about it? all i did was question your logic because something else made more sense to me, and then i conceded that you're probably right about your line of logic. it's not necessary, we're talking about a cute cartoon bunny here
