X is great, I really like the tufts coming off the cheek spots. It's one of those tweaks to something minor that end up really making a design pop and feel professional.
If I were to change anything, it would be Y's body shape (looks sort of like it could be a Mega Dedenne) and maybe X's colors (the light colored feet seem a bit odd to me)
Both are leagues better than what we got. Especially X.
