If there's one upside to this whole "Pokemon cannot go back to older game" thing everyone's yapping about, it's that they'll HAVE to include the Hisui-only Crossgens in Gen 10 & after games now, seeing how that was likely their excuse to not do so in ScarVio.

I get why one would say that about Regional Variants and obviously simpler forms like the Spiky-eared Pichu, but there's no way they would do that about Pokemon that occupy a Dex Number, especially after they made Pokemon #1000 such a big ass deal. They're stuck with them no matter what.

In my opinion, they're not likely to retcon anything else for a long time.

For now, the only things that are likely to be retconned are:
- Floette from AZ
- Zarude with the pink outfit
- Pikachu with hats.

Everything else is pretty safe.

Honestly yeah. Unlike Ash-Greninja or Eternal Floette, they have 0 stat alterations and any changes they might bring to the table can just be given to the base species (Ash Pikachu's Exclusive Z-move)

As I said, they won't be doing a retcon for a long time. This implies that I don't believe in other retcons.

I only mentioned these three examples because, in my opinion, they're the only ones that might seem out of place (but that doesn't mean they'll remove them).

I mentioned the Zarude and Pikachu skins because they're the only ones that are basically nods to the anime with no real relevance in the game.

Regarding Floette, it's because she's a "special" and seemingly unique individual who's a bit too tied to a specific character.

Whereas retconning a Pokédex number or a regional form is inconceivable.

I'm answering myself, but there's also the possibility that in Z-A, the Floette will remain alongside AZ. Which would prevent us from obtaining it.
Or that it won't be able to leave Z-A, like the Pikachu/Eevee partner in Let's Go.

Obviously these are only hypotheses, we will see.

It's also worth noting that the official website tends to classify Floette Eternal as a "character" like the humans in the story, and not as a Pokémon alongside the starters, Zygarde and its forms, or the Mega forms.
Although it can learn moves and have stats, and leaks suggest a Mega Evolution.
