there is no good reason why there are 2 versions of the same mainline game with exclusive pokemon and the slightest changes (aka character swaps) to the story when theyve already done away with the 3rd entries. there is no reason why this RPG series can not be an RPG and have different routes that introduce different characters and different pokemon based on those choices. this
