>>58259593I think this removes the dichotomy the two have where X is a Raichu body plan with exaggerated Pikachu features (yellow/red color scheme and massive twin thunder tails) and Y is a pikachu body with exaggerated Raichu features (orange/yellow body, ear "fins" become full on horns, and long tail that has a more defined thunderbolt on it).
This worsens the designs because it removes the one thing that stops either of them from being bog-standard "raichu and pikachu" megas.
