We saw some Pokemon give basic abilities like:

But there's no way every pokemon in your town unlocks an unique ability right? It makes me wonder how the progression will work and what even is the reason for growing your town to whatever the max size ends up being.

You'll need a switch 2 to play gen 10 games eventually anyway so I don't think it's that relevant, unless you already didn't plan to play the mainline games which is fair

If it was really 'soul', they'd have made stylized looking pokemon especially for this game to fit more with the design of the environment, instead of reusing the same stuff that looks like it was pulled from XY for the hundredth time. Just saying.

We do know that pokemon in this game have new expressions to use but this game looks more like a case of reverse engineering where they took the plastic looking models they already had and built the game around a plastic artstyle that makes them fit in. It specially helps that games like animal crossing new horizons already look like this so it fits.

I don't play mainline games, just spin-offs. Switch 2 as of now doesn't have enough going for it to justify how expensive everything is.

If there's a spinoff that can break the curse its something like this. Obviously there are cases like go that do show in theory a spinoff can break a curse with a strong enough pitch.
DQB to me definitely feels like it hits the bar if marketed right. You can see randoms recognize chunks of it and latch onto it, to me thats a pretty strong sign atleast.

The only way a Pokemom shooter could work is if you make it some goofy shit with good mechanics like Splatoon, "Bad" (not realisitc) graphics will filter basically 90% of the usual subhuman shooter audience

Shooter doesn't inherently mean duke nukem's manly death and gore. Would probably be more like a hero shooter (which basically fucking everyone plays) or just a trainer with a remoraid playing water tag or something.

If SV and ZA are anything to go by I don't look forward gen10
I still enjoyed SV for the simple reason of enjoying catching everything in my path, but now that I'm done with it, specially after the DLC being more of a chore than anything, I have no incentive in playing more of this kind of game

I play them after I finish playing the FOTM shooter, or after a long session of BR games.
A farm/SoL sim is good to calm down the action heat. That's why I loved playing the Sims 2 after a marathon of GTA VC.

Looks like a slightly modified AC:NH engine that enables more vertical terraforming. I guess if anything it gives me some hope that the next Animal Crossing will return to its comfy Northwestern forest aesthetic.
