>>58278616Other Anons already grilled you on how retarded you are, but I'll go through each game individually to dunk on you further
>RBYBlastoise is a top 5 Water while Gyarados is mid all things considered. Plus they give you an objectively better Water type in Lapras for absolutely free
>GSCGyarados's worst Gen, Feraligatr definitely will carry you especially with Ice Punch
>RSESwampert is one of the top 5 Pokemon in the game outright. Ground STAB and lack of Electric weakness objectively is better than whatever Gyarados offers
>FRLGGyarados is finally a reasonable choice here. I'll be generous and give it a W
>DPPlGyarados absolutely does not mog Empoleon. This is its first good Gen, but Empoleon is part-Steel and can solo Sinnoh
>HGSSActually might be better than Feraligatr here. Free Shiny too. First game where Gyarados might "mog" a starter
>BW/B2W2Post-game
>XYYou get Greninja AND Mega Blastoise in this game. It might be better than both, especially without Greninja's Hidden Ability and Mega Blastoise being deliberately held back, but you can't get Mega Gyarados until post-game. I'll give Gyarados a W here though
>ORASGyarados might be better than Swampert now, but Mega Swampert being free basically means they're tied here at best
>SM/USUMYou said Primarina mogs Gyarados, so immediate L
Since I haven't played a game since Gen VII, I'm stopping here. This is a W rate of 3/11. Maybe the modern games Gyarados is better than Intelleon or Quaquaval, I can imagine that is the case, but that's still not a majority of the franchise. Especially early on, Gyarados does not "mog" starters. Let this be a lesson not about Gyarados being bad, but the Water type being absurdly cracked
