Then they tried to blackmail Ice types as "not needing buffs" by giving them a tool SPECIFICALLY to kill Water types while the Water types are allowed an objectively better burn move than hardworking Fire types. Game Freak then has the gall to pretend the type is still busted as it was when it debuted with late-game specialists, despite all evidence to the contrary. And the supposed fans will instead target Fairies because they refuse to acknowledge who the true oppressor is, leading to the Ice type's persecution being eternal instead of truly understanding salvation
