If I were in charge of Pokémon 2023, I would have divided the Gen 9 anime into three seasons. --
> Season 01 : Ash arrives in Paldea for a Terastal course and meets Juliana, a former promising trainer who quit after a crushing defeat to Grusha and his harsh "No Second Chance" ideology. She regains confidence with Ash and Arven's help to complete her gym assessment challenge. They also meet Team Star's leaders and aid their reform.
> Season 02 : Naranja Uva Academy hosts an event with Blueberry Academy, where Ash reunites with Kieran, Juliana's old friend who holds a grudge against her. A team battle arc features Ash, Juliana, Arven, Nemona, and Penny facing the BB Elite Four and Champion. Kieran reveals he caught Pecharunt, using it against Juliana and Ogerpon in an epic showdown.
> Season 03 :Ash is invited to Lumiose City for a special event, which is canceled due to dark vines suddenly emerging. Alain is framed for it, and only Professor Sycamore, Manon, Ash, and his friends believe him. Ash seeks out Greninja, while Manon contacts the Looker Agency, where she works with Emma to prove Alain's innocence.
The first two seasons will focus heavily on Juliana's struggles, with Ash in a supportive role. In season 2, his opponent is Draydan, who becomes interested in Ash after learning he defeated Iris. The third season continues XY&Z, tying up its loose ends.
