>>58280599Unpopular(?) opinion, but Kanto should've just not been included in any form. All the focus should've been on Johto, and building up the region and its lore. Kanto Pokemon could've still been included (just more rare, with maybe a postgame focus where you travel to a part of Johto or some islands where Kanto Pokemon are more common), but had the time and resources that went into putting Kanto in the game gone to fleshing out Johto's routes, adding more towns, and characters, maybe the end result would've been something even better than what we got.
