Yeah, on model Gothitelle's hair discs are astoundingly, stunningly bad. You could do almost anything else and get an A tier design. It's the downside of making so many pokemon at once, a lot of good ideas that are half baked.

I'd guess a reference to how anglerfish mate. The much smaller male jabs a barb into the female and attaches itself to her. After that it's brain, eyes and other body parts decompose and it becomes a set of genatalia which cums onto the females eggs for the rest of it's life until the female dies. I really like Wartortle, Blastoise on the other hand Is ugly and looks almost nothing like its past Evolutions. Wartortle to Blastoise is probably one of the most Digimon Pokemon lines in gen 1. Bro almost completely changes and randomly grows guns. This design is a little closer to what imagine true Blastoise looking like.

I like the canons it gives Blastoise that plus, like Charizard's wings and Venusaur's tree, the real letdown was shrinking the tail that was making a consistent growth.

I dont mind the cannons its that the cannons replaced the actual cool part of the Wartortle line. Just left Blastoise as a giant Turtle with cannons. Its just uninspired. Its Mega and Gigantamax forms also suck ass. I wish it's mega looked like a mix of picture related without the mustache. Basically the body and head of the Blastoise on the left and the Tail of the Blastoise on the right.i also like the right sharper arm gauntlets so bring those over and add the arm cannons to them. Idk what crack head designed what we ended up with but screw them.

The biggest problem of Baxcallibur is the HEAD. It needs some horns or some helmet. It should be more rough. Goodra is okay being a soft dragon but Baxcallibur should be more sharp. It looks unfinished.

Random markings are lame, but Baxcalibur does need more shape. Even Dragonite has a horn and a stubby snout.

Not sure why we're trying so hard to fix Baxcalibur though, there's nothing worth salvaging.

I think the problem is that they changed blastoise's cannons from white which implied it is actually a part of it's shell to metallic which implies it's mechanical. It's earlier designs didn't have the "digimon" problem.
