It is weird that they used Gen 2 and 5 mons for the starter trio in the first Legends game, and did the same for the next one. What are they gonna do, make Legends 3 but your only option is Snivy? Or make it Snivy, Litten and Popplio just to complete the trio of generations that PLA started.

How would Snivy have fixed anything? Just say that you hate Johto.

The only "fix" would have been Popplio, and I guarantee that there would have been more complaints about it than Totodile.

Kanto and Hoenn: They already have Megas.
Sinnoh and Galar: SwSh and BDSP are far more relevant than the DS games.
Kalos and Paldea: I shouldn't have to explain these two.
