>>58293295To have something to actually talk about.... the character standing in an empty void in the opening is fine in the older handheld games but once you hit a certain scale is seems off. And I know someone is gonna be weird and call them lazy etc etc, but my point is gamefreak is still developing these games with the mindset as if the switch is the smaller portable console. There's both good and bad in that.
And because this is me just rambling my thoughts off. This sort of reminds me how impressed I was that clair obscure had a world map despite being that high fidelity. For years game devs have insisted that once you scale up high enough a "world map" would be too jarring, and no, turns out you just never tried it.
