>>58300646Pretty sure you're going to be able to catch "everything" in the game offline (megas outside the story progression bullshit don't actually appear in the wild) too. But it's not even the first time they locked megas to online distribution, just the first they put it in the multiplayer horseshit, to get people interacting with it (probably as they know few would try it off-hand otherwise). Sorry you seem to be too poor to even afford $20 a year (sure there's something you could cut or reduce spending on to afford that over the course of 365 days) but this is the maturation of the xbox kiddies shouting slurs over Live - all consoles charge for online, just as some PC games roped in spergs into paying sub fees to play games. Genie's out the bottle, it's not going away. Staggering that a 2nd party dev producing games critical to Nintendo's most profitable franchise overall (from Nintendo's perspective, factoring in ALL their revenue from every Pokémon game launch and Generation) similarly toe the company line by attributing their online multiplayer concerns to NSO instead of serving it for free. Their whole model is to support the latest Nintendo console they get contracted to develop for, not do their own thing and feed 'em fish-heads in return.
