NoA hasn't had any real influence over Pokemon since the 90s, before TPCi existed. At most, they can suggest release dates that benefit the American market, but most major releases are day-and-date in both Japan and America.

I don't think an NoA exec would have that much power. NoJ gets final say and ever then, decisions relating to Pokémon still have to go through GameFreak, TPC, and Creatures. She, and Doug before her, have very minimal power over Pokémon, according to my, admittedly, little knowledge.

They've got the power to step in and change marketing campaigns in the west, or maybe to demand certain censorship or translation changes. Not much more than that though.

She's been with the company since 2006 and was moving up the ladder before METOO and Corporate America being simps. Can't say if her merit is enough to be the president but she was a mid level executive before the girlboss trend happened. Also Nintendo very much has input into Pokémon. Not on a super specific design level but general marketing/pricing/censorship we have seen it. >Music
>All minor gameplay details basically except they run it through the censorship

Shit Nintendo/Game Freak/Creatures/TPCI all agree with have input on

>Release Dates
>Legal action on fan projects
>Basically high level decisions and direction of the franchise.

And it's all innerwoven to where there isn't even a specific meeting or anything. It's all more of a collaboration and certainly people stay in their lane but it's a IP everyone works on together. Some Palworld designs are as spliced Pokemon models. If something like that goes under fair use then anything that isn’t directly copypasting a Pokémon’s design into your game is fair play.
