Instead they went with the worst possible solution to the Typhlosion problem and decided to keep the Cyndaquil line out of Legends ZA while bringing back the other two Johto starters and giving them Megas.
It made it look like the Unova fire starter was stealing Typhlosion's spot.
This was so avoidable that it is not even funny.
