Maybe the retards at TPC shouldn't have made the distribution coincide with a fucking TCG release, that's the fastest way to get the sweaty scalpers swarming, buying packs en masse AND using their connections with employees to hoard codes to get an extra few bucks in the ebay process.

This is why Japan, South Korea, France and Spain all required you to bring your Switch/Switch 2 with Scarlet/Violet on the system home screen before you were allowed to receive a code, by the way.

That's not what happened. The release coincided with the release of a new TCG set, so all the people who came there to get that (investorfags) picked up a code for free to flip online. There was no restriction, and Gamestop even advertised being able to do this on their Facebook.

It was a shitshow.

Were it not for nepotism, that I didn't even realize I'd be a benefactor of, then I never would have gotten a card let alone two.
I was prepared for complete disappointment after a 1hr 30m drive, I feel for all the people who couldn't get them but tried. 27,000,000 copies of S/V out in the world and only 100,000 cards in the US is complete bullshit.

Search "Shiny Miraidon Koraidon" in youtube then specify "live."
There are livestreams right now going that offer free trades for the clones. Usually helps to be part of their discord or whatever they do, but some of the streams you don't need to.

They were supposed to only give you a code if you showed up with a console with a gen 9 cart or save in it. In theory this would have separated pure tcgfags and scalpers from pure vgfags. In reality no overworked methhead who works in an oklahoman gamestop is going to go through that extra step. Hell if you slip them a 20 they'd probably give you a whole packet if they hadn't taken a bunch for themselves by that point.

But for the injectbros, won't it be obvious and potentially blocked down the road? Official has the Classic Ribbon. Pokemon with Classic Ribbon can't be traded over the net.

The clones are basically exact copies and have the classic ribbons/20 Atk or SpAtk IVs/ etc.
It would require Gamefreak to enact a really harsh check of "junk" data and I'm not sure how that works or if they're capable.

There are a lot of ways to look deeper at a Pokemon and tell its hacked. Like the weight usually being set to 0 instead of a random number. And yeah there's a lot of legit ways to catch it, like out-of-bounds Pokeball or IVs.

Is there a way to hash it? Might be, especially if hash parts of the data rather than the whole. Are they capable of doing that? Pic related
