And Double Team functions as a quick dodge instead of raising evasion since accuracy and evasion aren't stats since it's an action game.
Also at any point in a battle you can return your Pokemon to their ball, there's a timer that forces a selected mon back out again if you're in combat, and if you dodge a move that way the sent out Pokemon needs all its moves return from cooldown.
There's also moves like Volt Switch which was shown to bring the Pokemon directly next to the trainer which you can use as positioning.
