Gonna be honest, I didn't follow Pokémon onto the switch, dexit turned me off of Sword and Shield, and it took a friend to convince me to get Scarlet while he got Violet. SV were a buggy, laggy mess, and kind of ruined switch era Pokémon for me. That same friend gifted me Pokémon Sword, but I still haven't played it.

Part of it is the bad experience from SV and another part is that friend doesn't talk to me anymore, so idk, is the game worth playing? Or is it really nothing special? I've played every other mainline Pokémon game and enjoyed them at least to some extent, but honestly nowadays I only really play GBA/NDS era pokemon games.
