All recent pokemon games have this problem of making the dex way too big to appeal to roster fags who cry when their favourite mon isn't obtainable

Smaller dex sizes are better because it gives the region a stronger identity

It's why we associate ponyta and machop with sinnoh or Skarmory with hoenn despite not being the region or origin

The more pokemon you have the less valuable each individual mon feels

Each region should have a dex of around 200 with half the regional dex being new and half being returning mons
