The true Gods are GameFreak themselves, who used to self-insert before interiors were removed from the game, and also because it'd break your narrative immersion in a game like Legends: Arceus if you found a bunch of fat losers camping out in the middle of bumfuck nowhere claiming they created the world you're traveling right now and then going "...Oh, you think we're the Almighty Sinnoh? Not quite, but even creators need origins! (Laughs)"
