This was over 10 years ago, but still, I don’t get it. Dark is my favorite type but even I can admit they went too far. Even the baseline they more than tripled the BP. I will say 20 BP was pathetic but did they really need to make it stronger than crunch? And so many pokemon get it. Before Gen 6 I always associated it with the random FRLG trade pokemon like Farfetch’d and Lickingtung, why is it so ubiquitous? Were items just too good? I get every competitive Pokemon runs an item, but in the same gen the really broken items like mega stones and later the z crystals get anime plot armor immunity against it anyway, so what gives?
