I wish they made more convergent Pokémon outside of the six we got. I like Toedscool&cruel, but the concept as a whole feels not fully realized. Hope they don't abandon it by Gen X.

Now onto the real complaint why did they pick fucking diglett again for an eel pokemon that is supposed to resemble an older pokemon? they really couldn't pick anything else?

Regional forms should have also been their own pokedex number and different name because you can tell they regret it now, Paldea had less regional forms than convergents and Z-A has zero regional forms unlike Arceus which had a lot, convergents are what we're gonna get from now on

It's a harder concept that regional variants, because they need to find a pokémon model that could work in a completely different context, like wigglett being a garden eel instead of a mole, and toedscool using the tentacles as legs instead of well tentacles

And the payoff for doing this? Most people can't even tell the difference between this gimmick and regional forms
