Yeah, Abilities that are only found on niche mons, and items that are worse than the other selections because Intimidate isn't the real problem, it's Parting Shot, which can drop Special Attack too.

Why is Incineroar with Intimidate so polarizing? It never made sense to me.
>Not explicitly bulky outside of Intimidate spam
>Slow as fuck
>Only stacks weaknesses while mitigating Fairy and Bug types
>Physically strong
>Many other Intimidate options available that are both bulkier and have superior mixed offensive options
How does it get away with this?

it would be fine if it weren't uglier than sin
but replace intimidate with a signature ability that's equally as "good" as the other 2 got
like
"Fiery Moves"
All contact moves used by this Pokémon become Fire-Type.
(without any boost)
That should put it more on the level of Liquid Voice and Long Reach

give (unovan) samurott intimidate and fake out too. it is now an alternative to incineroar. worse in a few ways defensively, especially to rillaboom, but it is faster and can deal serious damage back to an opposing incineroar. it'd also be one of the few intimidators in the game that can be a special attacker (salamence and mega manetric are the other notable ones) so it doesn't really mind opposing intimidates. not a major buff to incineroar, but one that i think would be somewhat significant.

give intimidate, the intrepid sword / dauntless shield treatment, so it only activates the first time it is sent out per battle.

A lighter one would be to nerf his movepool. No fake out would be pretty good.

It get Fake Out + Intimidate + a pivot move + good bulk and good defenive typing. Previously your options were two of the three or using an eject button on Scrafty or Hitmontop. It's not really polarizing as much as it's the first mon to let you have your cake and eat it too, and, as such, it's on every team. The moment they give us another Intimidate + FO + pivot it will shoot up in usage.
