The story was worse
Some people claim that it sped up the long and boring first island, but I don't know if that's true. It cut out some cutscenes, but it also added some cutscenes, and it forces you to do the shitty fucking Mantine surf
The "new areas" they added are legitimately insulting. The "pikachu hideaway" was literally just watching a pikachu stand there and repeat an animation over and over. Ultra Space was a literal hallway.
I still appreciate that it's the last game before dexit, and it had Z moves and megas.
