Why are Steel Pokemon over the last 3 gens or so either in the snow zones OR in wild in snow storms only.

creatures of steel wouldn't be bothered by the cold weather, at least as much as the fleshy ones, which is why they fitting to fill out snowy eras, provide some type diversity to the biome

very wrong, metal is very brittle in the cold and would be more adversely affected by it than fleshy creatures. Really Fire-types should be more at home in snow biomes.

Yes, but they're also well-equipped to terraform their environment to their liking. Also some fire-types are depicted living in the cold currently, like infernape of all things.
