It's a heraldry meant to emulate the sun from the Japanese flag, it was sadly not incorporated very well, mostly due to Kingambit being an already extremely busy design.

Mega Drampa looks like an enraged dragon with black hair and is inside a conglomerate of clouds like Kaido, yes Gyarados and Kaido have the same inspiration but Mega Drampa looks the closest to it.
