This is why I genuinely can't trust Game Freak to do sequels anymore, they're too hell bent on making "original" stories in prior settings and it kills the worldbuilding of this franchise. It's like they got away with it in PLA being a past game and figured they didn't have to do it for XY

Drasna at least has a card. But nobody cares about most of the Gym Leaders, they were all literally whos. That's why they were all Gen Pool filler slop in PokeMas, same with the Hoenn Gym Leaders
