Team Masuda, Sugimori has the merit of inventing the iconic Pokémon art style (which is derivative of Toriyama's) but many of the most beloved Pokémon designs aren't even his own.
He's a good artist, but directing a videogame is much more than just art (besides, art direction of Gen9 onwards games is shit)

Yeah, because that isn't happening now that Masuda is gone. Game Freak is just full of competent people deserving of their post since he left.
The games totally exude a feeling of competence, deserved roles and smart choices within the company.
Oh, what's this? Lumiose City is an entire single object and they removed a lot of detail because the current team can't into LOD modelling?

explain why the test versions of ZA had actually modelled buildings with windows and balconies but they got replaced by boxes with no volume and sloppy textures of building fronts that sometimes don't even connect with each other or cut at corners or borders for the final version
