The Wild Area wasn't fun to play, it felt designed specifically for trailers. GMax wasn't fun to play, especially the raids, but it looked really cool in trailers and the anime. SV co-op was not fun to play, but it lent itself to the sizzle reels. Blueberry was marketed with old starters in the wild, but they were not fun or intuitive to unlock. The entirety of XY was better suited for trailers than gameplay. Sun and Moon are cool, but the minigame gyms and extensive cutscenes work better as trailer material.
