>>58410415>Why is everyone so fucking pessimistic here?Anon, people have been waiting for things "to be good again" for over a decade now.
People have gone to college, graduated, gotten jobs, married, and had kids in this time period.
There's kids who all they know is Switch-era games and don't know about the "good times".
J-Just wait for next generation/next console! GF just has to get used to it first! has been a eternal mantra ever since XY.
It's been over a decade of waiting. And nothing. Arguably things have gotten even worse.
Time is finite. People can't wait forever. You're essentially telling people to be "positive" because they will be able to play a good Pokemon game again when they're in their fifties. When them becoming grandparents is a genuinely possibility. Do you not realize how silly this sounds?
>and you still choose to view them in the most bad faith way possible and interpret everything they do with negativity. Why? Do you feel better about yourself assuming the worst of other peopleYes, that's what happens based on the experiences until now. If someone stabs you in the back time and time and time again the most logical thing to believe is to think that next time they will stab you in the back once more. Not to give them your trust.
Our current opinions are based on previous experiences. Why would anyone give good faith based on the previous experiences?
> If you hate Pokemon so much, you don't have to consume it, you can just leave. Pokemon won't die no matter what so if you're that upset just quit while you're ahead.See, the problem with this argument is how, ironically enough, it is made in bad faith.
People don't hate the current state of Pokemon because they hate Pokemon. They hate the current state of Pokemon because they like Pokemon and would like it to be good again.
If they wouldn't like it they wouldn't be this disappointed.
