She's actually relevant in the story unlike Iono who just pops in once for the gym fight then does nothing the rest of the game. People are saying she hates her fans but that's not true, she's just a shut in gamer so she doesn't bother with public interactions. She loves gaming more than anything but she still likes her fans and one of her first fans became her best friend.
Also unlike Iono she's nowhere near as "sanitized", she actually goes on a (censored) swearing rampage when she loses to you, and she bosses her grandpa around. It is weird they went with two electric streamers in a row but Iono is much more of a "mr beast" type of youtuber while Canari is gaming focused.
