>>58417289And only three games are confirmed to be alt universe versions of the region they present. Timeline starts with RB/FRLG and RSE and continues in the prime universe up to XY. ORAS takes place in a separate dimension (because it CAN'T occur in the prime region, because it is already in the timeline and without mega evolution), same with USM, because Lusamine in those games didn't have as great a mental episode as Lusamine in SM, despite suffering the exact same trauma (butterfly effect/sliding doors moment).
Every other game follows on from RG, even L: A which was established to occur before ALL games, but still very much part of the prime timeline (Raifort's blackboard showing images from the era of Hisui's settlement and the early pokéballs they'd created). And given L: Z-A occurs canonically after the UW was fired in Kalos AND doesn't contradict any other canon release in the prime universe, it's but a branch in the prime timeline (building off from the paired games' lore, but not a continuation of the paired games' presentation) The recent release of leaks help to explain it - Legends games were created to be more serious gamer-type games that compliment the paired game releases, so they're still very much part of the world presented in the main paired games, but at the same point not intended to be staging points to continue the series from. Or so utterly different to the timeline as to be outrageously AU like ORAS or USM.
