I hope the DLC saves it but it's really just the regular shillmon + every mega + Kalos and the leftovers that haven't been in a game since USUM
I've been playing since the leak and getting a team together feels like shit. Using a non-mega feels like you're gimping yourself but the megas I picked out are seemingly mostly late game.

Side missions, they get you held items (only way until the post game).
Pokedex errands, they give you tms and the shiny charm.
There's a bit of post game content but about like 6 hours if you've already done all side missions.

I'm not sure that they are, just use the emulator's hotkey instead, which saves to AppData\Roaming\Ryujinx\screenshots. Only problem is it still shows a faint cross in the centre even if you disable the HUD, would be interested in a code to disable that maybe.

Gyms at least offer puzzles and a centralized theme. There is no such thing for ZA. You fight generic trainers that could have any random Pokemon until you have an arbitrary amount of points to fight the next boss. It all blends together.

This game might just have the single worst implementation of stealth i've even seen in a game i played. NPC just see in a 180 degree half circle in front of them, even through objects.

to add to this i caught 3 alpha gourgeists and 10 or so pumpkaboos to compare roars, the pitch in pumpkaboos changes drastically but the alpha gourgeists all have the exact same roar and base stats with only some ivs differentiating them, the pokedex doesnt give me the record for large or jumbo gourgeist so it seems jumbos do in fact count as medium only?

I'll elaborate, let's use Area 3 as an example. This is a square with a tower. Each time you go up the tower, the screen refreshes. Each time you go down the screen refreshes. It might spawn or despawn things as well as reset things. Quick traveling to Area 3 right outside of it does the same thing but better because you might not lose a monster that spawns at the top of the tower. It can happen. This way you can farm for alpha/shinies that you know are in certain fixed spots.

rather than pokemon that are bad or good, think about moves that were bad or good. Entry Hazards are omega uber broken in the classic rpg but here? they are literal obstacles placed on the field, the enemy might or not step in them. You can try to force them into environmental damage like that, trap moves work like this too. Say you activate whirlpool, it will create a zone of constant damage for some seconds. Now place Spikes in there, non flying pokemon will suffer damage from both. Now paralyz that pokemon, it will move slowly so it will get even more damage from there. Now use roar and the pokemon that got out will be push back there. That's how things work here. Some moves track the pokemon like will-o-wisp. Some create a large beam, some a middle ranged effect, some warp your pokemon around and so on. Multi strike attacks now do all their hits but the target must be in range, that kinda shit.

I swear there's a spot where kids are playing with monkeys and they spawn in trees, all 3 of them in the same place. I can't recall but I visited it yesterday, other than that instead of rooftops monkeys can spawn in regular street trees

Multihit moves are amazing in this game, so are burn and poison. It's also funny how I could just cast smokescreen, hide in it and spam water shuriken an alpha to death with my Greninja. The game has a lot of shortcoming, but the actual pokemon and the battles are not any of them.

Can you even complete the Mable requests without 100%ing the missions? I saw some of them required doing a trade evo but that should be impossible at the moment. I don't believe pkhex (later of course) would fix that either.
