Edgelords have a point that her skin's really charcoal-ish tone of brown clashes with her clothes, even though their "SHE WAS WHITE BUT THEY CHANGED IT CUZ LE DEI111111!!!!!" theory is pure cope.
What is more likely is that she probably was always meant to be brown, but they darkened her tone because someone at TPCi gave GF the tip that if you give a a dark skinned char a way too light tone of brown, there's always gonna be some reatrd on twitter that will accuse you of "whitewashing" so they just made her charcoal black in an act of overcorrection. Which I guess could still be seen as DEI depending in how you look at it. Even though from teraleak stuff, we mostly just have examples of them of making characters either lighter skinned or more conventionally attactive than their original pitches(see Skyla, Juliana), and I don't recall examples of the opposite.
