I tried to play them multiple times on an emulator, I just could not get into them. Too boring, they just play like a shittier Sun and Moon: way too much handholding. At least Sun and Moon had an interesting setting and characters.

That's true, but it's hardly a redeeming quality. It's similar to how Far Harbor is the best part of fallout 4 IMO
