He does seem like somebody who wants the story to be more hands off and focus more on key moments than the Masuda/Ohmori cutscenes cutscenes cutscenes approach meaning he has the potential to take Pokemon in the right direction, but we'll have to wait and see
The glow up from USUM to PLA reminds me a lot of the Splatoon Team coming from New Super Mario Bros. 2. Clearly one game was meant to be a testing ground by giving them slop to work with while the other is letting him flex creative muscles. I'd have loved a Legends Johto under his vision, but putting it off will be for the best so that Legends isn't just the "Iwao subseries"
Maybe if he's in charge of the Nippon MMO game shit might actually be cash, especially if they tie it to PLA's lore and flesh out the old regions in new ways that remakes can't
