For example walking along, your path being blocked by slime and being able to send out a water pokemon and use any water move that it knows to hose it away is great. Not a specific move, not summoning some random pokemon from the ether to do it but exploring in a natural way using the pokemon you have on hand with the moves that they know.
This is what HMs should have been replaced by and though its implementation in ZA is very rudimentary it's heartening to see Game Freak on the right track
