That probably entails her snitching on all the others and getting them fucked in prison. The way these kinds of sting operations happen is they give the lightest sentence to the one who cooperates the most and gives the best intel that ensures the others never see the light of day. Take pic related who snitched on the whole FTX cabal scam and ended up pretty much with a slap on the wrist in exchange for all the evidence they needed to take down the big cheese. Last I read, she just fucking moved to Hong Kong so she can avoid the inevitable lifetime of harassment she'd get otherwise. Had to forfeit a lot of her money over too but I'm sure she had stashes to keep her set for life.

The story in this game was absolutely fucking retard. I would say it's definitely the worst of any Pokémon game. There are no stakes during any point and every "enemy" turns out to be le wholesome 5 minutes later because I'm sure some DEI faggot told them they can't have children learning to hate or something.

They explain this in ORAS, no? Gens 1-5 presumably take place in one timeline (one without Mega Evolution) and Gens 6-7 (as well as any other games where Mega Evolution explicitly exists, like SV or Z-A) take place in another timeline that is largely similar barring that single difference.

I'd say that all post-Gen 6 games exist in the Mega Evolution timeline, but I don't think Sword & Shield make any allusions to it.
