>>58464586>Arceus(You) have to stablish the pokemon culture in the region, there's a lot of primitive shit so it feels completely different to the usual pokemon experience. Boss battles are just okay. There's minimal TRAINER battles, there's a lot of wild battles where things gang on you. You create the pokedex from 0 so research tasks want you to check the most minute annoying bit of a pokemon. You get to explore land no one wants to put a feet on out of fear of pokemon.
>ZA(You) are just another trainer. It feels like a modern take on a regular pokemon game. Boss battles are actually really different from each other and can either be slow and easy or some kingdom hearts tier fast paced rumble. There's ALOT of trainer battles, with a whole segment dedicated to becoming rich out of it but you don't need to engage on it more than desired you can go in and out of that mode at your own pace. Your research tasks just want to see how many pokemon have made it into the city so they are just simpler chores like catching and evolving, less of a slog but not as involved. Your exploration is limited to the city, but it actually has a lot of stuff to climb or find because there's pokemon everywhere
I like both about the same, I think Arceus had a funnier side activity with the unknown and the will-o-wisp thing but getting the passive rewards of getting the scattered item in ZA is not bad either. It also encourages you to explore the whole city and find hidden places/pokemon/items that otherwise you'd miss by playing regularly.
