I have a soft spot for Kalos and mega evolution so I decided to get it but haven't started it yet. Kind of seems like fan reception is all over the place.

I don't get the negativity.
Battling is a lot more fun, and the main focus of the game.
There seems to be a lot of outrage, which really doesn't make sense.
I don't know how somebody could like 'any' pokemon game, and have the kind of complaints I've seen about ZA.
Its all so fake, and played up for engagement.
I liked watching criticisms of Scarlet and Violet and Sword and Shield because they were real. Actual fans feeling disappointed with releases. Not engagement farms putting out clickbait.
Oh well.

I'm having fun and I like the characters in the game, also the parkour sections are fun. The battle system is super fucking retarded though. I don't like how it works.

Solid 8/10 game. Slow start but it was satisfying to complete. A lot of the 'hate' seems incredibly disingenuous and coming from people that haven't actually played the game.
