NGL actually having to do the full grind from V to F would've been a fucking nightmare. Murders the pacing.

Also if I have to wait until day to do shit around the rest of the city every single time, that's annoying. The current system works.

Having finished the game, the big skip is the right decision. Everything from F rank on has more depth to it than the initial ranks. I know it seems bad on the surface, and I didn't feel good about it when I initially saw it happen ingame, but they were 100% right to do it.

They could have made advancing ranks be based on tasks like filling the Pokedex in the previous Legends game.

>defeat wild pokemon
>capture alphas
>deal super effective hits
>or just go directly to other ranked trainers
There, the grind through ranks is now worthy of being called a Legends game and doesn't feel pointless.
