Finished the main game. Overall 8/10 if you liked a lot and had a good experience.
Good stuff
>Gameplay is fun, addictive, runs smooth
>almost no loading screens while playing
>good customization
>great soundtrack
>good characters
>side features like photos, pokemon walking with you
>decent level of challenge
>new battle system makes the game more interactive to play
>Legends features like Alphas and quality of life changes
>good attention to detail (trying to get Pancham as a starter, falling down of the building after climbing the Corbeau ladder)
Could've been better:
>tutorial should be shorter, you just want to get over with and explore stuff and it boils down to press A until it's over
>Lumiose buildings contrast with the overall graphics
>some places in Lumiose are confusing to reach as looking in the map (mega barbaracle in particular), Holovators become roadblocks later cheapening the open world aspect and some being locked to sidequests
>transition between day and night stops anything you were trying to do
>Z-A tournament story focused
>could've explored XY story more, the Lysandre Lab segment was really nice
>characters development happened too suddenly (Corbeau, Team Flare duo)
>endgame segment felt too focused on dialogue like the tutorial and had some out of place battles and MZ meeting, overall dragging until the climax
>wild zones and some mega stones could've been unlocked early
>AZ ending (lol)
Really should've done:
>Ride pokemon, being a Kalos thing. Especially replacing the disappointing Roto-Glide. Would be nice to ride Gogoat or Rhyhorn to get faster/smash some blocks.
>Voice acting on cutscenes. No excuses.
