League was dismantled due to collaboration with Team Flare, Kalos had to resign from the United League Nation to no longer qualify as part of the system with Indigo, Hoenn, Sinnoh, Unova, Alola and Paldea. Galar also had to resign after the Darkest Day incident

Diantha's career took a turn for the worse as she stopped getting lead roles. Drasna moved back to Sinnoh after living in Kalos her entire life with a husband half her age. Wikstrom committed seppuku with his Aegislash

This is where the Lumiose redevelopment project takes a turn since Jett also has proven to not be a competent leader and the Ange controversy means she's dumping her assets to her grandchild so they can deal with the blowback while she retires. In 5 more years, Lumiose will truly be reborn anew as a worthwhile tourist trap once rebranding happens

Wikstrom is mentioned in the Hisui exhibit as they reached out to him for comment on why his armor was so similar. Given it was a relatively recent addition to the museum, we can assume he's probably still alive.

I'd almost feel bad for Diantha if i didn't consider her the worst Champion. Going full actress was a good change for her.

Geeta was funny with half the league disliking her her and enslaving Penny. She may been completely incapable in a Pokemon battle, but she goot good milage from playing up the League Chairwoman thing. Plus we all know the real Paldea Champion is Nemona anyway.

I know this is just for fun, but the Kalos League probably has been dismantled, actually.

The location of Gyms is important enough that instead of shutting down the Viridian Gym after learning it was being run by a mob boss, a former Champion relocated to Viridian to take it over.

Prism Tower has a Gym in it, which is no longer accessible. The League cannot operate without that Gym. Therefore, the league is no longer in operation.

To be fair, not all leagues are created equal even as a presentation point of view outside of lore. Taking that into consideration, I wouldn't be surprised if Galar has the most popular league in the world compared to other regions with the sheer amount of production value it has compared to other leagues.

But in that same gen they relocated the Cinnabar gym. There's precedent for it already, it could easily have just been moved. Or like in BW2 another gym opened up somewhere else.

Wasn't there literally a line in XY about her getting old and possibly retiring? Wasn't that like the first line she ever fucking said in the series? I remember she was talking to Lysandre.

It was a hypothetical by Lysandre trying to scare her into supporting his cause. Diantha's actually young (Teraleak puts her in her early 20s) and Lysandre went "WHAT IF YOU GET OLD WOULDN'T YOU WANT TO BE BEAUTIFUL FOREVER?" to which she said she'd be okay with getting different roles because time waits for no one

It's her only scene in the game and it's just her musing about her potential rather than doing anything

Probably Special/Anime, this bitch literally disappears from the game after this scene. I think at best she only shows up during one of those "region-wide characters watching the big stupid weapon shoot out of Geosenge" scenes. Like we knew she was going to be the Champion, she's the only relevant NPC shown off that isn't related to some other faction, but that's only via context clues of having played the previous games. She does so little in XY that you could straight up forgotten she even existed and see her as the game's final boss and just be confused who she even is

Diantha is the worst champion not because she's the weakest but because her presentation and presence is so miniscule it doesn't even feel like the devs tried
